Michael Charles Chiklis is an American actor that is best known for role as detective Vic Mackey on FX Channel crime drama ‘The Shield’ from 2002 – 2008.

Do you remember Michael’s character ‘Toni Scali’ was balding in ‘The Commish’ 1991-1996?.

In the year 2000 and after playing ‘Curly’ in the three stooges movie, Michael decided he wanted to change his image. He worked hard at the gym for more than 6 months to get buffed. Soon after his wife Michelle convinced him to shave his head bald.

The leaner, bad ass bald look landed Michael the role as ‘Vic Mackey’, the LAPD anti gang strike team lead detective on the ‘The Shield‘ from March 12, 2002 until the show ended in 2008 after seven seasons.
The new bald look really payed off. In 2002 he won an Emmy award for ‘Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series’ for the role.
